We celebrated Levi's second birthday Tuesday. It was a blast! I thought he was too young to know what was going on but he proved me wrong. He was so excited and totally knew he was the star of the show. When we opened presents he was so anxious to get the package open he was nearly hyperventilating. He was ripping the paper off as fast as he could. Then when he caught a glipse of what was inside he would yell "Wow!" We were all laughing like crazy. When we started singing Happy Birthday he was singing along and dancing. I set the cake down in front of him and he blew the candles out with about 20 short fast in-and-out breaths. He didn't eat much cake because he wanted to play with his new stuff.
For the past several weeks we've been telling him he's going to have a birthday, then ask how old he was going to be. He would always hold his little hand straight out with his fingers all outstretched and say "five!" We're still working on the fact that he's only two.
All day long I would turn to him and sing "Happy Birthday" and he would sing along. I kept thinking about the day he was born and how perfect it was. I remember everything in detail. It was such a beautiful experience all the way around. I couldn't have wished it any better.
Levi has always been active and kept us on our toes. He is so intense (which can be challenging at times, but really is a good thing.) He loves to be dirty and he loves to tease his sister. He totally fits to role of the pesky little brother. I totally love the way he calls my name when he wakes up every morning, reminds us to have 'pears' at night, and keeps us all laughing with his perfect smile and creative talent. I actually never thought I would have a boy, but I sure am glad I do!

It crazy how fast they grow! I wish we could find a way to keep our kids babies for a little while longer! I love these pictures of Levi...too cute.

Happy Birthday Levi!! Wow, 2? You are all grown up now! I am glad that you all had such a wonderful day. I love thinking back on the day that each child was born, it is truly a miracle. Happy Birthday little guy!
Geez, I am way behind on commenting on your posts. Looks like you all have had a fun two weeks though! I just wanted to wish Levi a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY, and am glad that he had such a great birthday. I thought it was so cute that he was totally into opening all of his presents! What a cute kid you two have!
