Since I was about 20 minutes pregnant I have thought this baby is a boy. I became more and more convinced over the months until I seriously considered giving all of my girl clothes away so I didn't have to store them anymore. However, in the last month of my pregnancy I have felt much more like I did with Daisy than I did with Levi. The 'poll' (I don't know if it can really be called a poll since it doesn't meet any scientific polling criteria) results on this blog voted overwhelmingly that this baby is going to be a boy. We won't have to wonder much longer, the wait is almost over. Daisy arrived two days late and Levi came 11 days early, so it's really impossible to tell when the baby will make his or her appearance. With every cramp and pinch I wonder, "Is this it?" Jeff took his last final today, so all of our prayers that the baby would wait until after finals were over were answered. Even if I went into labor right now we would be in the clear.
Poor Daisy wakes up every day and gives me the countdown, "Mom! Only 6 more days," then "Mom! Only 5 more days!" I tried to explain to her that it really could be anytime...even, say, 10 more days. Strange as it sounds, I am really fine to go past my due date. I still feel great and instinctively feel that later is safer. Truth is, it's not really for me to decide. Baby will come whenever he or she is ready. And I'll keep you posted...
