Last night when it was time for Family Home Evening, Daisy suddenly took charge. She sat in the middle of the floor and instructed everyone to sit down by her. When we did, she announced that she was going to say the opening prayer. After that she said, "Now we'll sing ABC's." So we did. Following our song, she said it was time for our game. We played Duck Duck Goose. We have never played Duck Duck Goose before, and I wasn't sure where she learned it. Jeff, Daisy, Levi, and I laughed and laughed as we ran around in circles in our living room. I set the lesson aside and decided that since our Family Home Evening's typically last about 6 minutes, this was likely our most successful Family Home Evening yet. Everyone was involved, everyone was laughing, and we played together for over 1/2 hour.
I have been friends with the cutest girl since 6th grade. She can't blog about her adorable family because of privacy and her husband's line of work, but she told me the funniest story about her little boy, Brayden. He will be 4 in May. They were having Family Home Evening and talking about forgiveness, I think. They stopped and asked him, "Brayden, do you know what a mistake is?" He said, "Yeah, it's that stuff dad likes to eat for dinner."
This morning I was dicing a banana to go with my breakfast when Daisy asked, "Mom, do you know where banana's live?" When I asked where, she said, "They live in trees, and then the monkeys sell them to the grocery store." I'm sure glad she has it all figured out.

Of course I remember you, even after 7 1/2 years. You have a very smart daughter! I want to know what in the world you are doing posting at 5:58 am?? I have the info about changing the background, but it won't all fit on a comment. Tell me your address (mine is sethpeggy@gmail.com) and I'll email the instructions.

hey you! You know, I love to look at your blog because I always come away feeling your optimism and sincerity. Thank you for being who you are. You are really an inspiration to me! Oh Yeah, and you are soooo funny. I love the cheeky comment last night ;)
How cute! You mentioned us! Thanks!! Another funny Brayden moment happened tonight.A boy in our Primary class got hit by a car and broke his leg the other day. So, I was preparing dinner to take to him & his family when Brayden asked "mom, what are you doing?".
I said "making dinner to take to Spencer". He thought for a minute and said "OH! Because he broke his fever?!" I laughed and said "Close buddy, he broke his FEMUR!" I love being a mom.
Also, Kambree is waving to everyone she sees now, its' so cute. I love it when we are in Harmons and the old ladies stop us and ga-ga over her!! Another moment when I love being a mom.
Poor thing has an ear infection and a cough we can't seem to get rid of, but is still smiling and cute as ever. Your blog is so cute! It's fun to share pics and stories of our kids, them being close to the same age.
Take care!! Brandi
That is so cute that Daisy just took charge. You have taught her well! I can't wait until Cam is old enough to understand what Family Home Evening really is!
