Cabin Crazy

Another of my great childhood destinations is my grandparent's cabin.  "The cousins" have been there before with us, and love it as much as we do, so we headed up to the cabin after we left Bryce Canyon.

The kids spent the entire time outside.  They loved playing on the tire swing.

My grandpa has installed a plethora of bird feeders, so the cabin felt a little like an aviary.  Isaac ensured that the bird bath was in good condition.
In addition to the many species of birds we observed, there were entire clans of chipmunks all over the cabin property.  They were so fun to watch, and the kids were determined that they would be able to catch one sometime during the trip.  They devised all sorts of traps.  Needless to say, they were not successful in their attempts, but it sure made for good entertainment and some creative ingenuity.
The kids look forward to going down to the ice cream shop in the village every time we go to the cabin.  This time we ended up waiting for over 30 minutes for an ice cream cone, but since we were at the cabin, it was worth it.
