Happy Birthday Daisy! ...and Valentines Day too

Grandma Jones sent a Valentines package full of loot. Poor Levi had to wait until Daisy got home from school before we could open it and the suspense just about killed him. Inside was a kit to make our own Valentine's chocolates!

Daisy was very careful about squeezing the chocolate into the molds. She was quite the candy making craftswoman.

Levi enjoyed showing off the finished product.

Our supper club headed to Teppanyaki for dinner. If you were lucky enough to date my husband before I snatched him up, you may have eaten at Teppanyaki. He claims he took all his dates there. I, on the other hand, had never eaten there before.

The food was so good! I can't think of a time that I've eaten so much fresh grilled shrimp before. Even better than the food was the fun. Our chef was awesome, and being out on a date with my hott husband and our fun friends was long overdue.

This is a shot of our funny chef. Turned out that a majority of us supper-clubbers were pros at catching flying shrimp in our mouths.

The day before Valentine's Day a knock at the door brought another load of Valentine loot from our Grandma next door. New shirts, a Dora Uno game, and a Spiderman book were among the favorites.

And the biggest celebration of the month...Daisy's birthday! Hooray! We had a family birthday party complete with cousins, aunts, uncles, brothers, parents, both sets of Grandparents, and gifts galore. Daisy got everything she asked for including 'skinny' jeans, curlers for her hair, art supplies, and make up.

Daisy wanted a cowgirl cake...surprise. Grandma Jones brought this gem and it was a dream come true. Because we celebrated her sixth birthday, here are six things I love about Daisy:

1. Daisy is the perfect combination of cowgirl and princess. She looks equally beautiful in dirt, sweat, and hay or makeup.

2. Daisy is the perfect big sister. She plays 'boy' stuff like blocks and trucks with her little brothers instead of trying to convince them to play girlie stuff with her.

3. Daisy performs selfless service. She helps out when she sees things that need to be done without even being asked.

4. Daisy is sensitive just like her daddy. She is careful not to hurt other's feelings.

5. Daisy is a hard worker. She is not afraid to tackle a tough job or get in and get dirty. She sticks with it until the job is done.

6. Daisy knows how to be silly and when to be serious. She is good at having fun and involving others. Daisy makes us laugh and helps us feel the Spirit.
