Having Jeff out of town has caused me to relax, ok - slack off - on several things. For example, right now my children are attempting to injure each other in the bathtub while I sit here browsing the web pretending not to hear their cries. I also have a very difficult time convincing myself to actually make something for dinner. Tonight we had macaroni and cheese - Daisy's favorite. The kids were sitting at the table starting to eat when I came and sat down.
Daisy: Mom, did you take all the mac & cheese?
Me: Yeah, I took the rest.
Daisy: Oh, man! I wanted to eat some more!
Me: Would you like to say the prayer or is it my turn.
Daisy: I better say it. "Heavenly Father, bless my mom that she's a Stinky Pete. Bless Sparkles Rope. Bless my mom that she will make more mac & cheese. Jesus Christ, amen."
Hey, it was a sincere prayer if I ever heard one.

He hehe! I love 4-year olds and their hilarious remarks! Today Brayden told me that babies that can walk are magic! ( Kam has yet to start). Also, we went to the pool tonight and went on all the slides, and as we got done walking to the car, he says "that sure was fun mom, that sure was fun"! Jared & I just look at each other & smile. Love it!!! Prayers are hard, sometimes it is all I can do not too laugh...they are really sincere!! :)
That is really cute! What exactly is a Stinky Pete?
I'm not sure what a Stinky Pete is. Jeff introduced Daisy to the term and she uses it whenever she is displeased with someone or something. Like if she and Levi aren't getting along she will tell me, "Levi's being a Stinky Pete again."
Just wanted to tell ya, at Wal-mart here, they are selling those blue, hard plastic pools with a little water slide built-in!My neighbor bought one, and our kids had a blast in it yesterday. It is perfect for little ones! They had them at the Bloomington Wal-Mart, but my mom wanted to buy one in Cedar and they didn't have them...i guess it just depends where you go...just wanted to let ya know! I don't think they are any more than $15.
Would you just make her some more mac and cheese for heck sakes! Gosh, you stinky pete!
Daisy is such a cutie!
Thats so cute! Yeah when Paul is out of town I do the same thing! Okay who am I kidding, I am always slacking off!!
the girls and I lived on mac & cheese and slacking off for years while Ry was working out of town. It's good for, gotta be huh??? So Ryan says I need to call and "work-on you", you know "put-the-pressure-on" you to come camping this weekend.....I gotta say it would be a blast. We could even make mac & cheese if it would make you feel more at home ;) If you don't come, we might have to give you the stinky pete award.
Kid's prayers are the best. Prayer time is definitely the best part of nursery. You NEVER know what is going to come out of their mouths! I agree on the mac & cheese. I think our family keeps Kraft in business!
DAISY IS MY KIND OF GIRL! WE HAVE MAC & CHEESE ALMOST EVER DAY FOR LUNCH. Cael loves it and it's easy. I'M GLAD I FOUND YOUR BLOG YOUR KIDS ARE DARLING!
